PRIVACY POLICY

Signature Drivers Club ("SDC", "we", "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have. It applies to applicants, members, event guests and visitors to our website.

By applying for membership or using our website, you agree to the practices described here.

We collect information you provide directly, such as your name, contact details, vehicle information and the content of your membership application or messages to us.

When you register for an event with a Dutch number plate, we look it up in the RDW's public vehicle register to fill in your car's make, model, colour and year. Only the plate itself is sent - not your name or contact details - and the register we consult holds no owner information.

We also collect limited technical data when you visit our website, including general usage and device information, to keep the site secure and working well.

At our events we take photographs and film, which is the one thing we collect without your typing it in. It has a section of its own below.

We use your information to review membership applications, organise and run events, communicate with you about the club, provide member services, and meet our legal and administrative obligations.

Where you have opted in, we may send you occasional updates about events and partner offers. You can unsubscribe at any time.

We do not sell your personal data. Ever.

We share information only where necessary: with trusted service providers who help us run the club under confidentiality obligations, with event or track partners strictly to facilitate your participation, or where required by law.

We keep your information only for as long as needed for the purposes set out in this policy, or as required by law. Application data from unsuccessful applicants is deleted within a reasonable period unless you ask us to keep you informed of future opportunities.

Our website does not set cookies and stores nothing on your device. We run no advertising pixels and no cross-site tracking.

We do count page views, using Vercel Web Analytics. It records which pages are opened, which site or search brought a visitor to us, and the country and device type - in aggregate, without cookies, and without anything that could identify you or follow you to another website.

We also count how often each of our forms is completed, so we know whether the site is doing its job. Three details travel with those counts and no others: which membership tier an applicant selected, how they told us they heard of us, and which event a registration was for. All three are choices from a fixed list. Your name, your email address and anything you wrote in your own words are never sent to our analytics - they go only to us, in the message you submitted.

If that ever changes, we will update this policy first and ask for your consent where the law requires it.

We photograph and film at our events. The images are used for the club's own communications - this website, our social channels, the newsletter and the occasional press feature - and, where a partner hosts or supports an event, in their coverage of it as well. We do not sell them.

Every event registration asks whether you consent. Nothing is preselected and the form cannot be sent without an answer, so the choice is genuinely yours. Saying no changes nothing about your day with us: it means we keep you and your car out of anything we publish. If you register guests, please pass this on to them - and tell us if their answer differs from yours.

A number plate identifies a car and, through it, a person, so we treat it like any other personal detail. Ask us to blur yours and we will, whatever your answer to the consent question was.

You can change your mind at any time, about images already published as well as future ones. Write to hello@signaturedriversclub.nl - describe the event and we will find the image and take it down.

You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to data portability where applicable.
